About Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park, located near the city of Arusha, is known for its stunning scenery and diverse wildlife. The park includes the Momela Lakes, Mount Meru, and the Ngurdoto Crater.

Visitors can enjoy game drives, canoeing, and guided walks. The park is home to buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of primates, including the rare black-and-white colobus monkey.

Mount Meru, the second highest peak in Tanzania, offers challenging but rewarding climbs with spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The lush forests on its slopes are teeming with wildlife.

The park's diverse ecosystems, from montane forest to savannah, support a rich variety of flora and fauna, making it a must-visit destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.

Best time to visit Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park is a year-round destination, but the best time to visit is during the dry season, from June to October, and January to March. During these months, the weather is pleasant, and wildlife is easier to spot as animals gather around water sources.

The wet season, from November to December and March to May, brings lush landscapes and a variety of migratory birds. While the park remains beautiful, some trails may become muddy, and wildlife viewing can be more challenging due to the dense vegetation.
